The Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R marked the birth of the Skyline GT-R legend. Launched in 1969, it carried a race-bred 2.0L DOHC straight-six engine (S20) producing 160 hp, paired with lightweight construction. Nicknamed Hakosuka (“boxy Skyline”), it dominated Japanese touring car racing, claiming 50 victories between 1969–1971. Today, it stands as one of the most sought-after JDM icons.
